We went to the Louisville Parade of Lights last week and Maysa was pretty excited. The local newspaper took some pictures and she made the front page of the paper with her friend Delaney.

November Update

Uncategorized No Comments

Finally, some more pictures. November, all at once. Maysa isn’t happy all the time, so I included some not quite so happy faces to share. There’s some pictures in there from our Thanksgiving trip to Seattle. We saw some friends up there, and walked around with the Bushnaq’s around the falls in Tumwater. Pictures are here: http://bryanganzel.com/familygallery/v/November+2008/ Enjoy!

p.s. The fingers under the door picture was from naptime. She wanted out of her room, and fell asleep that way.

October Pictures

October came and went and I haven’t updated photos. Here’s the mess of them: http://bryanganzel.com/familygallery/v/October+2008/

Highlights:

Maysa getting ready for a bike ride. At first, she wasn’t liking the bike trailer too much, now she loves it. She gets snacks and water, books and toys. Last time we were out, she was laughing whenever we were going fast.

There’s a park behind the rec center that’s about 2 blocks from home. We’re there a lot. Maysa loves the slides. She’ll do laps, climbing up the jungle gym and heading down the slide. Here she is on the biggest in the park.

She likes the swing too.

And there’s no October worth having without having Halloween. We were offered a custume from a friend and couldn’t pass it up. She wore it to school (and kept it on most of the morning according to reports) and when we all got home we headed out around the neighborhood. She was happy saying hi and bye to everyone, and got plenty of candy. Too much candy, really, since Zana and I have been eating most of it.

Here’s the stinker:

There’s the highlights for me. There’s tons more pictures, including some from our hike in Rocky Mountain National Park while the elk were out. http://bryanganzel.com/familygallery/v/October+2008/

Last of the Washington Trip Pictures

family, travel No Comments

Last ofthe Washinton pictures are up here: http://bryanganzel.com/familygallery/v/September/Washington+Trip/

The Bushnaq’s threw a party so we could see a bunch of folks at once. Some of Zana’s friends (Soma and her family, Erin) and a bunch of aunts and uncles and cousins from my mom’s side of the family came down for a bunch of fun and playing on the beach. Aunts and uncles Betsy and Duke, Guy & Lorie, Larry & Peggy came down, as well as cousins Pete & Sarah. And all their familys and kids. Good stuff! After all the grub was eaten, we headed to the beach and Matt & Sharon (neighbors) came down and took some kids for kayak rides. Zana and I got a turn as well.

Thanks to everyone who made it! We had a great time.

Washington Trip

Uncategorized No Comments

10 days after getting back from Nebraska, we hopped on a plane and headed to Washington. First day’s pictures are up now. We stayed around the Bushnaq household, and spent a bunch of time down at the beach. Zana and Maysa went swimming in the bay!

Labor Day with the Ganzels in Nebraska

Uncategorized No Comments

We headed back to Nebraska for Labor Day and stayed at Mahoney State Park with Kate, Matt, Ian, Zach, and the parents/grandparents. We had a great, and busy time. For starters, we headed to the SAC museum, and saw airplanes of many sorts. Ian and Zach played in a simulator. The next day, we went to the water park and played until everyone was exhausted and cold, a couple hours worth. Here’s a whole mess of pictures from that weekend:
